Privacy policy

This is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no forms, so there is very little to collect.

What we collect

Google Analytics 4, once it is enabled, records aggregate visit data: pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device, and which affiliate links were clicked. It is set up to measure whether pages are useful, not to identify anyone. We do not store names, email addresses or payment details, because we never ask for them.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets its own cookies. The embedded YouTube videos on the homepage use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie domain, so YouTube does not set a tracking cookie until you actually press play. The Google Maps embed loads from Google when you scroll to it.

When you click through to GetYourGuide or Viator, that platform sets its own affiliate cookie so a booking can be attributed to us. That cookie belongs to them and is covered by their privacy policies, not this one.

What we do not do

• Sell or share data with anyone.
• Run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
• Ask for or store an email address. There is no newsletter.
• Host a contact form. The contact page is a plain mailto link, so an email to us goes through your own mail provider and nowhere else.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. We do not query those logs to identify visitors.

Your choices

Browser-level tracking protection, an ad blocker or a Do Not Track setting will all stop the analytics script, and nothing on this site breaks when they do. Every page works with JavaScript disabled apart from the date picker and the mobile menu.
